Regional Queensland Projects

Wilde and Woollard are currently involved in several major projects throughout Regional Queensland, covering both private and public sector in Health, Education, Residential, Commercial and Defence. These include Bundaberg Hospital Oral Health Services and Cancer Care Centre; redevelopment of Gladstone Entertainment Centre; Rockhampton North Aged Care Facility; the Townsville Defence Logistics Project and the Mt Isa Base Hospital Redevelopment which includes Community, Mental and Oral health facilities.

We were also engaged by the Indigenous Land Corporation on the $20M Western Cape Residential Campus in Weipa on Queensland's western Cape York. The campus comprises a new 120 bed residential boarding, medical and administration facilities, dining room, kitchen and on-site accommodation for facilities management and residential staff.

Wilde and Woollard provided full cost planning services including detailed pricing of each trade allowing for the transport costs of all materials by barge from Cairns, travel, accommodation and the cost of living allowances for subcontractors, and identifying trades which could be carried out locally.

With a remote location such as Weipa, variations or omissions in contract documentation could potentially provide serious disruption to the works. Complete and accurate contract documentation including the provision of Bill of Quantities has ensured minimum variations on the project. We also provided Contract Administration services and an Asset Life-Cycle Report.

"Each of the projects in Queensland will build important infrastructure that will serve the community and local regions now and into the future."
