Description
Deakin University's first building at their newly created Elgar Road campus is separated by Gardiners Creek from their Burwood Road campus and houses departments for International Studies (IC) and Business Studies (BB) relocated from the Toorak Stonington Campus. Parallel low-rise, large floor plate buildings are joined by a bridge.
IC houses offices, flexible teaching facilities, student support, foyers, reception, shared communal atrium lounges and light courts.
BB houses the Faculty of Business with facilities including teaching spaces, offices, student support, cafe and lecture theatre.
Material selections are sustainably based and feature internal organic stained timber and recycled bricks from demolished buildings.
