Description

The project involved the upgrading and augmentation of existing facilities and the provision of new facilities and associated infrastructure to support the expanding Base functions. The project was designed and delivered under six separate head contracts:

– Level 3 Living-In Accommodation (224 rooms), Combined Messing Facilities

– Physical Fitness Facilities including indoor 50m pool and all weather running track

– New HQ building, Hospital and Dental Facility, Security Police and Military Working Dogs, Base Information Systems Centre and Command Post

– LDBO, MEOMS and Aviation Fuel Section workshops and associated facilities

– Security and Fire School Working Accommodation including new Training Building, Warehouse & Gymnasium

– Passive Defence Augmentation, Road Infrastructure, Gatehouses and Demolition

Wilde and Woollard were engaged by the Department of Defence to provide full cost planning, bills of quantities and construction phase cost management services.
